About Braisy's Discovery Daycare
Braisy's Discovery Daycare is conveniently located in the Nottingham/Linover area of Baltimore County Maryland, just minutes off of 695. We offer full time and part time schedules for children ages 1-5. If you have a child under the age of 1, please inquire as we may have spots available!
Our program is perfect for teachers and school staff! For the 2023-2024 school year, we will follow the Baltimore County Public Schools calendar with regards to holidays and emergency related closings, with some modifications. During the summer, we offer flexible schedules and tuition rates! See the Summer Financial Policy under General Information for more information.
Braisy's Discovery Daycare (BDD) is focused on nurturing the whole child in an environment that is loving, fun, and safe, and gives children the freedom to be creative. Our curriculum is STEAM infused and offers numerous opportunities for play-based learning throughout the day. Our program supports all areas of child development: physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and language.
At BDD, we believe that play-based learning is the best way for young children to learn and grow. Our approach to education is designed to allow children to engage with their environment in a fun and meaningful way. We understand that every child learns at their own pace and has different strengths and interests. That's why our play-based learning program is individualized to suit each child's needs, allowing them to explore their interests, follow their curiosity, and develop skills and knowledge in a way that suits them best.
Our program is a place where children learn by exploring and problem solving while using their five senses. At BDD, children will use their curiosity, creativity, and imagination while learning, they will build friendships, and they will have fun! Our licensed educators are caring, passionate, and maintain First Aid & CPR certification.
General Information
Hours are 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. *Please reach out if you need accommodated hours!
Space is limited to 7 children per day.
Once the size limit is reached a waiting list will be created.
Children do not need to be toilet trained!
For the 2023-2024 school year, we will follow the Baltimore County Public Schools calendar with regards to holidays and emergency related closings, with some modifications.
Summer Financial Policy- If you plan to keep your child home during the summer break, which is roughly from mid-June to late August, you will only be required to pay one week’s full tuition (before summer break begins) to hold your child’s spot for the
upcoming fall. This policy does not apply if you are teaching/working Summer School and sending your child to daycare on Summer School Staff Duty Days.On BCPS professional development days, we offer care for school-age students (if space is available)!

Meet the Staff
Hi! I'm Ms. Christine! I am the Owner and Lead Teacher at Braisy's Discovery Daycare. I have always been passionate about teaching and when I was in second grade, I decided I wanted to be a teacher. Now, I am a former elementary school teacher, a mom to a lovely toddler (who was not a fan of the Easter Bunny as you can see in the picture!), and I have two adorable dogs. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and I have taught 2nd-5th grade throughout my 16 year career. I have recently completed coursework in the Group Care of Infants/ Toddlers and Child Care Family Provider and I am certified in Adult, Child, and Infant First Aid/CPR.
As a former elementary school teacher for Baltimore County Public Schools, I understand the burden of childcare costs when teachers and staff are very underpaid. Braisy's Discovery Daycare was created with teachers and staff in mind; with affordability being a main priority (along with being a loving, nurturing, safe, and trustworthy environment!).
I believe that children thrive in an environment that is filled with love, warmth, and affection.

What is your health and safety policy?
We follow all local guidelines, including our 24-hour sickness policy (your child must be clear of the following symptoms for 24 hours before returning to school: fever, vomiting, and/or diarrhea).
Do I have to buy school supplies or pay for field trips?
Your supplies are included with the cost of registration! Most events and field trips are free for your entire family!
Can I take a tour first?
Yes! We would love to give you a tour of our program. During the tour, we'll tell you all about us. Please call us to schedule a tour.
When does your program start? Can I enroll mid-year?
Our program starts August 21st and ends June 18th (10 months). If we have spots available, you can enroll mid-year! Please call us to see if we have any spots available.
